The style of the letters and carving are more typical of the WWII era very similar to the style you see coming out of the wood shops for recovering wounded soldiers. The style is actually almost identical to the known SS made ones. It has some staining and wear, but it has a very good look.

Be careful, not for strong chewers
Sad to give a 1-star review on these bones, I had such high hopes. They’re a great size and design, and my dog was excited to get one when I gave it to her… until I happened to look down at her, having just given her the toy moments before, and she had chewed off a large chunk and was trying to ingest it! Fortunately I caught this and was able to get it out of her mouth before she swallowed it. My girl loves chewing on toys like this but I guess she’s too aggressive of a chewer for these(?) though she’s NEVER chewed a piece off of a toy before. Sadly this bone, and the remaining two in the bag, went in the trash.
