32x50x8 Single Lip Viton Rubber Rotary Shaft SealAcrylonitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) is the material name for nitrile rubber. This material is very good for seals due to its make up. Nitrile rubber can tolerate short term dry running of the sealing lip. The operating temperature range without failure of nitrile rubber is 40 to +100 C. Good finish, poor hardware.
Set screws are poor quality and are sometimes powdercoated on the exposed threads. Leads to striped hex sockets and inability to tighten properly.
Durable finish as evidenced by no visible damage after throwing parts across the shop in frustration.
Ended up running self tapping screws thru parts to complete assembly.
