My dogs are chewers and we use these for the dogs to chase them into the lake. They float well and are easy to see. Even if they start to chew on them they are substantial enough to last through the summer. The dogs love them. This is my dog's favorite toy for dock diving. It's lightweight but a good solid size for retrieving and it floats with no issue. I do have to keep it put away when not swimming or he'll tear it to pieces so if you have a dog that likes to destroy toys, just be mindful.
