The stock Shift Rods are made up of rubber bushings which result in slop in the shifting and the frequent popping off breaking. So we eliminated all of the plastic and rubber and used our Metal Rod End for direct and precise engagement. The rod is held on by a metal retainer clip to ensure it will never pop off
