It features a black painted steel buckle and blackened brass D. O. T. rivets. D. O. T. was the successor to United Carr and their rivets are seen on chinstraps produced from 1945 until the P55 liner's replacement in the mid 1960s. The jacket has shoulder pads that don't necessarily show on the image in the purchase area. Pretty pronounced so if that's not your thing definitely stay away.
